The delicate wind carrying the sand all about
The cotton shaped objects in the sky that sometimes fool your eyes as you progress
The bright round orb that leaves its marks in your skin
It’s the sky that indicates your place in life
The location where a few things end and the latter begin
Love, live, create, destroy
Recreation, desire, war and disaster
Mistakes shape swift lines into our backs
The cold, the bruising, the lashes deform us
As phoenixes, we arise, but only to fix what we have broken
Technology makes us and eternity breaks us
As truth, we are taught the lesson
Breathe, swallow, tilt your head… smile
Not everything has an answer, so lies start to form
Oh, how naïve, so we scorn
It crinkles, it folds, indentations in your skin
The progression of life taking its toll
Remain by the beach for the oncoming storm
Enjoy it while you can, breath in the salty residue, and exhale your sorrows
Reside and linger for the morrow
